Learning

ICS, a learning and knowledge organisation

ICS prides itself as both a learning and knowledge organisation and exemplifies this at different levels:

  • at an organisational level
  • at a country office level
  • at a team level, and
  • at an individual level.

With the intention of ensuring this, ICS Asia has tried to build in entry points for both learning and reflection. Learning can take place in many different forms and through many channels. The organisation has been attempting to create varied internal learning opportunities for all staff such as appropriate professional development, internal trainings and workshops, cross-country programme sharing/learning exchanges, international workshops, cross sharing and learning from ICS Africa and a workshop for the entire ICS Asia staff.


Valuable learning can also come from shared experiences with communities, government and all partners. For example, even when ICS Asia is a funder, the organisation ensures that there is documented sharing and learning from the implementing partner so ICS Asia may use this learning for future programming.
